What We Help With
The list is a starting point. If it’s orthopedic, there’s a good chance we can help.
After Surgery
Post-op recovery takes precision. The pace has to protect what was repaired, and the progression has to happen at the right time. Most of my years in practice have been spent in this work, alongside orthopedic surgeons.
Knee, hip, and shoulder replacements
ACL, meniscus, and ligament repairs
Rotator cuff repairs
Spinal surgery recovery
Return-to-sport rehab
Fracture and ORIF recovery
Injuries and Pain
The everyday stuff that keeps you from sleeping, working, or moving the way you want. We figure out what’s actually driving it and treat the cause, not just the symptom.
Neck pain and headaches
Plantar fasciitis and ankle pain
Shoulder pain and rotator cuff issues
Back pain and sciatica
Hip pain and impingement
Hip pain and impingement
Knee Pain (general and patellofemoral)
Sprains, strains, and tendinitis
Movement and Mobility
When the body has slowed down from age, arthritis, or a long stretch of doing less. We rebuild strength, balance, and confidence so you can keep doing what you love.
Balance issues and fall prevention
Walking and gait problems
General weakness or deconditioning
Arthritis and joint pain
Getting back to specific activities
What treatment looks like
Sessions are 45 to 60 minutes, one-on-one. No aides, no shared treatment rooms, no being passed between providers. You see ReeAnn for every visit
Every plan is built around your specific situation and what you’re trying to get back to. That usually means a mix of hands-on manual therapy, targeted strength work, balance and mobility training, and conditioning. The exact mix depends on what your body needs and what your goals are.

"It's important to me to be knowledgeable in my field, kind and caring, positive and joyful, and to actually take the time to KNOW patients on a personal level."
Dr. ReeAnn Sadowsky, DPT
I
became a physical therapist because I saw what injuries do to active people. People who define themselves by what they can do. An injury changes more than a body. It changes what you think you’re allowed to want.
For many years I worked alongside orthopedic surgeons, treating hundreds of post-op patients through joint replacements, ACL reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs, and spinal surgeries. That work shaped how I practice. I learned what good recovery looks like, what rushed recovery costs, and how to read the difference in a patient’s progress.
What matters most is your specific goal. Not “range of motion.” Not “pain reduction.” If you want to draw a bow this fall, get on the floor with your grandkids, or come back stronger than before the injury, that’s what we work toward together.
Active Edge Physical Therapy is my own practice. That means when you book with me, you get me. Same therapist, every visit.

What to expect on day one

Before you come in
Book online or call. Bring your photo ID, insurance card, and any imaging or surgical reports you have. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in — similar to what you’d wear to work out. You’ll receive intake forms right after scheduling. Fill them out before you arrive and your first session starts faster.
The first session
We start with a conversation about what’s bothering you, what you’ve already tried, and what you want to get back to doing. Then a physical evaluation. Then we begin treatment! You leave with a clear picture of what we’re working on.
The plan
Most patients see significant progress in 4 to 6 weeks. Some need one to two visits per week. Others do better with two to three. The plan adjusts as your body responds. You’ll always know what comes next.
North Dakota allows direct access to physical therapy, so for most insurance plans you can come straight to us. Medicare patients are the exception — if you have Medicare, you’ll need a referral from your physician before we can treat.

It depends on what we’re treating. Most patients see significant improvement in 4 to 6 weeks. Some do well with one or two visits per week, others prefer two to three. We’ll build a plan with you on the first visit and adjust as your body responds.
We’re in-network with BCBS, Sanford Health Plan, Medicare, and ND Workforce Safety Insurance. If you have a different plan, we’ll provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Cash pay is also an option for non-Medicare patients — cash rates range from $140 to $200 depending on visit type and length.
